About this journey

What makes this trip.

Tunisia Sun is the effortless beach holiday: one comfortable resort on Hammamet's golden sands, easy days drifting between sea and pool, and just enough culture to make it memorable. Set on the Cap Bon peninsula an hour from the capital, Hammamet gives your group a restful base with the medina, the marina and the beach all close at hand — the ideal formula for families, young travellers and anyone who wants the beauty of Tunisia with total ease. A single guided excursion lifts the week beyond the beach: the Mediterranean-facing ruins of ancient Carthage, the painters' village of Sidi Bou Said with its cobalt doors and whitewashed lanes, and the souks of Tunis's old medina. For groups who want more, optional days reach inland to Kairouan and the coast, or unwind further with a thalassotherapy session — Tunisia's signature seawater ritual. Everything else is free time under the sun.
  • Golden-sand beach days on Hammamet's Cap Bon shoreline, with sea and pool at your doorstep
  • The Mediterranean-facing ruins of ancient Carthage, capital of Hannibal and a UNESCO World Heritage site
  • Cobalt-blue doors and whitewashed lanes of the artists' village of Sidi Bou Said, overlooking the Gulf of Tunis
  • The souks and old medina of the capital, Tunis
  • The whitewashed old town and Yasmine marina of Hammamet, alive with cafes and shops
  • Optional day to Kairouan, the first Islamic city of the Maghreb, and its Great Mosque (UNESCO World Heritage)
  • Optional coastal add-ons to Monastir and the Roman amphitheatre of El Jem
  • Signature Tunisian thalassotherapy and spa for total relaxation (optional)

Who this trip is for

Who this trip is for.

Ideal for families, young travellers and mixed groups who want an easy, sun-and-sea holiday with minimal moving around — a single comfortable resort base — while still tasting Tunisia's headline culture through a curated capital excursion and optional inland add-ons. Itinerary

Day by day.

  1. Day 1

    Arrival and unwinding in Hammamet

Evening arrival at Tunis-Carthage airport, where you are met and transferred to your Hammamet resort (about an hour). Check in, settle in, then free time to relax with dinner at the resort according to your board arrangement. Hammamet is Tunisia's best-known resort town on the Cap Bon peninsula, with golden sandy beaches, a lively old medina, and an easy location close to both the airport and the capital. Overnight in Hammamet (night 1 of 6).

  2. Day 2

A free day on the beach

Breakfast at the resort, then the whole day is yours: relax freely between the beach, the pool and the resort's facilities. Evening entertainment and activities at the resort. Overnight in Hammamet (night 2 of 6).

  3. Day 3

The capital: Tunis, Carthage and Sidi Bou Said

After breakfast, set out for the capital. Explore the historic ruins of Carthage overlooking the Mediterranean — a Phoenician city that grew into a Mediterranean empire, the capital of Hannibal and later a great Roman city, today a UNESCO World Heritage site. At midday, visit the blue-and-white village of Sidi Bou Said, an enchanting artists' village of cobalt doors and whitewashed alleys looking out over the Gulf of Tunis, with free time to sip pine-nut tea. In the afternoon, wander the old medina of Tunis and its souks before returning to the resort for dinner and rest. Overnight in Hammamet (night 3 of 6).

  4. Day 4

    Relaxation and the Hammamet medina

Breakfast at the resort, then a free morning on the beach and by the pool. In the afternoon, an optional gentle stroll to Hammamet's old medina and the Yasmine Hammamet marina (or the pottery souk at Nabeul) — whitewashed lanes, a seaside kasbah and a lively marina full of cafes and shops, just steps from the resort. Free evening at the resort. Overnight in Hammamet (night 4 of 6).

  5. Day 5

Kairouan and the coast — optional day

Breakfast at the resort. Today offers a choice: an optional excursion to Kairouan — the first Islamic city of the Maghreb and capital of the Aghlabids (UNESCO World Heritage), famed for its Great Mosque and historic carpets — with the option to add Monastir or the amphitheatre of El Jem. Prefer to rest? Enjoy a full free day at the resort between beach and pool. Dinner and rest at the resort in the evening. Overnight in Hammamet (night 5 of 6).

  6. Day 6

    Free day and farewell

Breakfast at the resort, then a final day of relaxation: beach, pool and shopping, or an optional thalassotherapy/spa session — Tunisia is world-renowned for its seawater treatments. In the evening, a farewell dinner and entertainment at the resort. Overnight in Hammamet (night 6 of 6).

  7. Day 7

    Hammamet to Tunis airport

Breakfast at the resort, with free time depending on your flight schedule. Around midday, transfer to Tunis-Carthage airport (about an hour) for your departure — the end of a sunny, restful Tunisia Sun escape.
