Itinerary
Day by day.
Day 1
Arrival in Andalusia — Seville
Arrival in Andalusia and transfer to Seville (about 2–2.5 hours). Seville is the soul of southern Spain — a city of palaces, gardens, old lanes, wide squares, and music. Check-in at the hotel and time to rest, followed by a gentle evening walk to take in the city's lively, illuminated squares and open-air cafés.
Day 2
Seville: capital of Al-Andalus
After breakfast, a panoramic tour of Seville, then Plaza de España — one of Europe's most beautiful squares, with its arches, canals, and coloured tilework — and the green Parque María Luisa. Discover the Santa Cruz quarter, the old heart of the city, and visit the Real Alcázar (subject to ticket availability), a jewel of Mudéjar architecture. See the Cathedral and the Giralda tower (exterior). Free time in the centre and an evening walk through historic Seville.
Day 3
Seville to Córdoba
After breakfast, drive to Córdoba (about 1.5–2 hours). On arrival, visit the Roman Bridge over the Guadalquivir, with views of the old city and the Mezquita-Catedral, and the Calahorra Tower (exterior). A walk through the old town, then hotel check-in and free time, with an evening stroll around the Roman Bridge and the historic centre.
Day 4
Córdoba, city of knowledge
After breakfast, visit the Mezquita-Catedral of Córdoba (subject to ticket availability), one of the greatest monuments of Al-Andalus with its forest of red-and-white arches. Continue to the Judería (Jewish quarter) and the famous Calleja de las Flores, and the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos (subject to time and ticket availability). A tour of Córdoba's squares and Andalusian courtyard houses, free time in the old city, and an evening walk.
Day 5
Córdoba to Granada
After breakfast, drive to Granada (about 2–2.5 hours), the last Muslim capital of Al-Andalus, set at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. Hotel check-in and free time, then Plaza Nueva and a walk along Calle Calderería and the old markets — tea houses, traditional crafts, and Andalusian-Moroccan flavours. An evening walk through the lively old town.
Day 6
Granada: the Alhambra & the Albaicín
After breakfast, visit the Alhambra (subject to ticket availability) — the crown of Granada, with its Nasrid palaces, courtyards, fine stuccowork, and serene gardens — and the Generalife gardens (subject to Alhambra tickets). Note: because of very high demand and limited tickets, the Alhambra visit can only be guaranteed once tickets are officially confirmed; early confirmation is recommended. Continue to the Albaicín, a UNESCO-listed quarter of white houses and winding lanes, and the Mirador de San Nicolás for the famous view of the Alhambra against the Sierra Nevada — especially beautiful at sunset. Free time and an evening walk.
Day 7
Nerja, Málaga & departure
After breakfast, drive to Nerja (about 1.25–1.5 hours), a pretty Mediterranean town, and its famous Balcón de Europa viewpoint over the sea. Continue to Málaga (about 45 minutes–1 hour) for the Islamic Alcazaba (subject to time and ticket availability) and the lively historic centre, with free time before the transfer for departure, at the close of the program.
